It's been a great start to 2016 here at the Derby. The December litter has grown and some have gone - our first adoption of the year. It's always hard to say good-bye to my babies, but I love seeing the happy faces of their new families at adoption time.
I've put together some pictures of our best moments from our first Norgana/Kicks litter. Unfortunately, the littlest one was just too small and he didn't survive. But the other four thrived and became super sweet little gerbs. Take a look:
And now for some exciting news - the second litter arrived on January 31st! They were a bit earlier than expected, but everybody's doing well. Three pups this time, all of a good size and healthy appetite.
These little ones are all spoken for, a fact that both warms my heart and makes me a bit sad - I'll have a hard time letting them go, too. But I love knowing that they already have homes in which they'll be well cared for.
Happy 2016, one and all! May it be a good one for people and gerbils alike!
