Whew! We've got a lot of catching up to do, don't we?
The second half of 2015 has been really busy. I got married, moved to a new home, and did a little gerbil shuffling. Sadly, our former patriarch Fievel passed away shortly after we returned from our honeymoon. He seemed to be in good spirits and was comfortable; old age just caught up to him.
I tried split caging Punches and Norgana, but they couldn't seem to decide who would be dominant. After a month, I decided not to keep trying to force them together. Instead, I put Kicks and Norgana in a split, and they took to each other like peanut butter and jelly. They're the most affectionate pair I've ever had.

Which brings me to the most exciting news of all. On December 27th, Kicks and Norgana had their first litter!
Five little squeakers, wiggly and loud. Though one is smaller than the rest (a runt), everybody seems to be doing well. I'm not sure how many boys and girls there are yet, but I think we've got two black-eyed pups, two white pups, and one color point pup.
I saw Kicks and Norgana being romantic, so I'm hoping for another litter in the new year, perhaps in February.
Come back again soon! Now that the Gerby Derby is up and running again, there should be regular developments.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
